2020 Elections: Mahama Settles on Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang.

Inside information reaching www.zamireports.com from the camp of the biggest opposition political party in Ghana ,theNational Democratic Congress has it that, the flag bearer has settled on Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang as the running mate of the party for the 2020 General Elections.

Prof. Naana Agyemang was among five names that were mentioned as being considered for the position. However, by mid day Monday July 6, the flag bearer John Dramani¬† Mahama ,in consultation the party’s National National Executive Council had settled on the candidature of the educationist.

“By mid day, the battle was between the former Governor of the Bank of Ghana Kwabena Duffour but ldman settled on Prof”, an inside source who pleaded anonymity intimated.

Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang is a former Minister for Education in Ghana. She was appointed in 2013 by President John Mahama after the 2012 Ghanaian general elections and served until January 2017 when the Nana Akuffo-Addo administration assumed power. She is a member of the National Democratic Congress.
November 22, 1951 (age 68 years), Cape Coast, Prof. Agyemang was the first female Vice Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast.
She had her education in the New York University, University of Cape Coast, and Wesley Girl’s Senior High School.
She is also an author of many books including a handbook for Writing Skills and Who Told the Most Incredible Stories.
