Our lives have become so much intertwined with technology such that, it has become the fourth basic need of man besides food, clothing and shelter. Almost every facet of our lives is affected by technology and we almost can’t do without it.
Checking our mobile phones especially, is one of the first and last things people in a day, and research shows that 80% of smartphone users check their mobile devices within 15 minutes of waking up each morning.
Such an integral part of our lives cannot be left to fester without the right people leading or managing it, and this is what led Kwame Owusu Ansah, a 2020/21 Mandela Washington Fellow to help raise the next generation of techpreneurs and leaders through his startup Techstripped in a series dubbed, TECHSTRIPPED MENTORING SESSIONS.
During the sessions, Kwame hosts influencial tech leaders to speak, teach and guide tech-focused individuals in tertiary institutions across the country. He has so far hosted Peter Adeyimi a Fullstack Developer currently working as a Frontend Developer at Previsico, and Officer Terence Addey Adams cyber security expert and an investigator at the cybercrime unit of the Ghana CID. They are both 2018 Mandela Washington Fellows.
Today, he will be hosting Eyram Akofa Tawia, a 2017 Mandela Washington Fellow, CEO and Co-founder of LetiArts, a company which builds exciting games and comics based on historical African heroes and folklore. He is also one of the pioneers of the African Game development industry and will be sharing his journey in tech and how the students can position themselves to make meaningful impact in the African tech industry.
It will be an exciting session at 6pm GMT via zoom and all are invited to join this session via this link https://us04web.zoom.us/j/71919572896?pwd=TVo0Z2gvL2dSak1MZ3QvUGhkS0Rqdz09
