Mass Registration Fall Outs: One in Grips of Police for Slapping an Agent.

Lukman Musah, a driver of Zoomlion in the Karaga district is in the grips of the Northern region Police for slapping an agent of a political party in the Karaga district.

According to a police report issued by the Northern Regional Police Crime Officer Superintendent Kwabena Otuo Acheampong, the suspect was being challenged by a registration officer, Iddrisu Dokurugu, in a centre Wednesday July 8 when he attempted to register though he is not a resident of the community.

“On 07 July 2020 about 1810 hours, Victim Iddrisu Dokurugu of H/No. LA/156 Karaga aged 35, an agent at the new voters registration exercise at Shebo Community Karaga reported that, whiles filling a challenge form against an applicant who is not a member of the community, suspect Lukman Musah slapped him without any provocation”.

An endorsed police medical form issued to the victim and returned by same confirmed assault.

The suspect has been charged for court on July 9 2020.
