One person has died in the Kpasenkpe community of the Northeast region after he reportedly drown in one of the off springs of the Bagre dam in the community.
The deceased, Warisu Azundow, about seventeen years according to report got drown while swimming in flood waters at Kpasenkpe in the West Mamprusi muincipality.
“The deceased, Warisu Azundow we’re told went to the bridge to swim with his colleagues as they usually do, and he got drown between the hours of 4-5pm yesterday”, Dokurugu Alhassan, a reporter with Eagle FM in Walewale told ZAMI Reports.
This has risen to seven, the death toll in the Northeast region.
Six persons were reported dead on September 4 following days of torrential downpours characterized with the spillage of the Bagre dam in Burkina Faso late August.
The six people, all males were trapped in their homes and farms.
