Aseda, as passionately called by her parents and fans became a social media sensation after she took part in the Season Three (3) of the Cussons Baby Moments Contest, a photo contest for babies that encourages bonding in the family.
Though with down syndrome (condition caused by an extra 23rd chromosome.), Aseda made it to the top ten (10) which qualified her to the grand finale of the contest.
Aseda’s Short Life Lived.
Her condition-extra 23rd chromosome causes physical and intellectual delays in children. Aseda suffered a Ventricular Septal Defect, a hole in one of the chambers of her heart and Severe Obstructive Sleep Apnea-all caused by enlarged adenoids and tonsils. Even with the above conditions, Aseda was able to fit so well with other babies who competed in the contest.
“She demonstrated so much strength and brought hope to anyone who saw her and families with special children at large. She also proved to the world that all children, including children with special needs can excel when given the opportunity”, as said by her mother Buabeng.
Aseda passed on-on eighteenth June, a week to her second birthday and few days after the grand finale which was held in Accra.
In Honour of Aseda’s Life.

Every baby on admission received products. Staff and in-charge at the NICU expressed outmost gratitude to PZ Cussons and Aseda’s family for choosing the facility over others.
