UE/R: Save women from self-styled “witch doctor”

The Founding Executive Director of The Sanneh Institute (TSI) Professor John Azumah has petitioned the Inspector General of the Ghana Police Service James Oppong Boanuh and the Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection Cynthia Mamle Morrison to save some women from a self-styled witch doctor based in Pulmakom in the Upper East region.

In a video shared with ZAMI Reports, TSI has captured how alleged witches and women believed to be possessed by evil spirits are subjected to torture and abuse in exorcism rites by the owner of the facility Rufai and his accomplices.


The Accra based institution which works in close partnership with the University of Ghana and Yale University wants the operators of the facility arrested.
